Not sure what to say?

I just today learned of Bob Kane's passing. He was my favorite boss in all my 40 working years! I worked as his secretary at Ropers, Majeski et al in the early 1990s. My husband, Bob, and I enjoyed his informative, wisdom-filled emails and our periodic phone conversations. We will truly miss this great man. He was a true gentleman and scholar. Heaven has indeed received a new angel.

What a wonderful man was Robert Kane, the rich, full life he led and the family and friends he has! My ympathy to the family.
Frank Barr, class of '44, BHS

To the Kane family,
It was with sadness that I learned of the passing of your father but memories of him fill me with an equal amount of joy. The thoughts and prayers of the Hagarty family are with you all. We will miss him but Heaven just got a great man.

To all the Kane Family,
May you move through your grief gently and graciously. Please know the love and respect for "Uncle Bob" was mentioned often by my father ,Jim Kane, passing on contection and pride. I enjoyed Uncle Bob's emails which presented his unique perspective of world events.I hope that one day,I will have the pleasure to meet all of you.Bleesings of love and light to all. Lois McClatchy nee Kane

My thoughts and prayers are with the Kane family. My father, Charles Robertson who passed away 32 years ago, was fortunate to call Bob Kane his best friend. After my father's death, the Kane family was there for us, and I enjoyed many wonderful times with all of the kids. Take good care all.

Dear Hannah,
My prayers go out to you and to your family. Your beloved grandfather sounds like a special person who lived a rich and full life. As his granddaughter, I am certain you were an important and ongoing source of happiness and pride for him. I am glad that your mom was able to be with him when he needed her most and that his passing into heaven was a gentle one. Until next Monday, I wish you a calm and peaceful school break and look forward to seeing you soon.

I worked for Bob Kane as a paralegal at Ropers during the late '80's and early '90s. He was a very kind sole and a pleasure to work for. His belief in integrity was passed along to many that worked with him. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Kane family during this very difficult time.

It has always been an honor to have been welcomed into the Kane family on every visit to the Bay Area. It has now been 25 years since we first met, and I still remember the feeling of "family" that I experienced while with them from that first handshake. From what I learned, Bob was very successful in much of what he did. What I experienced though, was that his family is what mattered the most. He and Keke provided much support to each family member and remained proud of each one of them....

Bob was a most considerate, compassionate and wise man. I enjoyed working directly with him on a few matters at Ropers, as well as seeing him at the office. Ed and I were then privileged to have him marry us in June 1997. He lived an amazing life and was not only extremely well respected, but he was clearly deeply loved by those whose lives he touched. Our deepest sympathies to his friends and families...we shall miss him.
