I am proud to call Bob a friend. A few years ago, he asked for me help in interviewing for Watertown's town cable TV station Nigel Hamilton, a British author whom he had gotten to know about Hamilton's WWII histories. Hamilton was a delight, mostly because of his deep respect of Bob. Later, Bob returned the favor and talked to be about John (Babe) Simourian, a legendary Watertown High athlete and teammate of Bob's who had a seminal role in getting sophisticated medical equipment sent to...

Bob was singular for being a doer. He was creative and exceptional for his positive attitude and he evolved into being a producer as well as a consumer. He loved Watertown and expressed that in retirement by devoting himself to community work that would make it a better place for all its residents and got great pleasure from doing so.

Bob was a Northeastern friend and team mate of many years, I will miss him. He was a "Good Man". Bill Forster
