Not sure what to say?

My family and I moved to Owings Mills, Baltimore from Scotland in 2012. I am forever grateful that Mr Bob quickly grew from a neighbor I´d meet every morning on the school run by the crossing guards to a a true friend and without doubt, family to me and all of my kin both sides of the Atlantic. We spent many holidays and birthdays together but he always kept New Years to remember his son and wife Lee. I hastily moved back home to Scotland before his passing and it troubles my soul that I...

We remembered Bob so fondly yesterday at our reprise of the Rosa Ponselle concert with the Baltimore Musicales. Bob was a wonderful, dedicated supporter of the organization from the very first concert until his passing last year. For over ten years, Bob attended our concerts with a smile, kind compliments, and fascinating stories from his own incredible career as a professional musician. We all miss Bob so much, and thought of him as we sang music he loved yesterday afternoon.

Thinking of Bob this holiday season ... whenever I hear the song "Sleigh Ride", I think of Bob, particularly during the percussion parts. :)

I took drum lessons from Mr Kennick in 1974 - a year later he visited Salisbury St College where I was a freshman and took me out to dinner with a fellow BSO percussionist - he was a kind and generous person and I learned a lot from him - am busy now passing on what he taught me about drumming - he was a remarkable person.

I just learned of Bob's passing after doing a Google search. I regularly saw Bob walking in my neighborhood and over many, many years, had the good fortune of bumping into him occasionally when I happened to walk my dog around 9:00 AM. I didn't even know his name, but saw it recently on the bench where he always sat after his walk. I wondered, and worried, why I hadn't seen him for several months. I just wanted his family to know that even though we didn't know each other's names, he touched...

let the Muiffed drum roll but end with a gentle tap ,for one who has been among us for far too short a time--good man--he opened the door for me

I was saddened to hear of Bob´s passing. I have fond memories of Bob and his family. My mom, Eva Anderson, was in the BSO (Baltimore Symphony Orchestra) with Bob. Bob was the Principal Percussionist while my mom played cello and keyboard. My mom met Bob while she was a student at Peabody in the 1950s. Bob once told me that they had mutual admiration for each other. Later, they were surprised when they met up in the symphony. The Kennicks were good friends with my family. Bob and Lee...

It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of my good friend and St. Andrew´s Society of Baltimore compatriot Bob Kennick . I wish to express my deepest sympathy and condolences on Bob´s passing and offered my thoughts and prayers to his family and many friends.
