Robert Kent Sasher

I remember Kent as a young teenager. One day, Kent, my Dad, and I played a round of golf at Goose Creek Country Club in Leesburg, Virginia. Kent birdied the first five holes for a front nine 31. He turned in a 34 on the back nine for a seven under par 65. I’ll never forget it. He made a hard game look very easy. Kent was a nice man. He always carried a sly smile and could make you laugh easily. He will be missed indeed.

My Condolences.

Sorry to read about Kent's passing. He was friends with my older brother back in the 50s in Ashburn Va. I can remember him coming to our house with my brother. I ran into him many years at a driving range in Chantilly, VA and he remembered me and my family when I told him who I was. My condolences to his wife and family.

Kent. He taught me exactly everything I needed to know about the golf swing. He did it with words. Catch phrases. He goaded me. Coaxed me. And gave me confidence that it was, after all, in me all along. It was in Va beach. 1991ish. I will never forget him. I will always revere him. I will always be grateful for his friendship.
