Robert L. "Bobby" Kirkland

I knew Robert ( Bobby) when I lived with my sister & Bro in law Evelyn & Ray sharpe in Naples they had a gas station across the rd from Luby Kirkland and family. I went to Naples in 1958 had to come back to Alabama in 1962. I loved his sisters as well as his brother Richard Javan. I wish I could have stayed in Naples. I loved Richard. I was SHIRLEY ANN ELMORE THEN. MY MARRIED NAME PAULK. MY HUSBAND OF 52 yrs has been deceased for 8 years now. I hope I get to visit Naples again in near future.

Uncle Bobby is my mothers older brother. He was a lot of fun growing up as he enjoyed making us kids laugh. He seemed like he could do anything well, and did! Hunter, fisherman, Dragline operater, outdoorsman, cattleman, home builder, the list goes on. I live in Mesquite, Texas now. Home of the famous Mesquite Rodeo. I see a lot of hats, boots and belt buckles but those Kirkland men are the only real "cowboys" I know. Much love, respect and fond memories. You are missed sir.
