Not sure what to say?

Friends at Sharon United Methodist Church.

Robert and I worked together at Belk's in the 60's. Such a fine dedicated and fun loving man, Robert was. We would see each other over the years, especially at South Park. The family is in my thoughts and prayers. Robert was an inspiration to me. He will be missed by all who know him.

I mer Bobby when he was a young teenager.
We roller skated at the old Queen City Rink on East Trade below College St. We
had many good times together. I was going to Charlotte for an out of state
flight July 1st. His wife called me Fri-
day with the sad news. His son, Bobby
took me to the airport and picked me up
on my return flight. Bobby was a very
good friend of mine that I will always
remember who turned out to be a great
gentleman. He will be missed by...

My condolences to the family and RIP Mr Kirkley. I worked in the Men's Department for Mr Kirkley in the mid 60's in downtown CLT. I also played on the Belk softball team. Mr Kirkley would buy me a Milk shake for every HR I hit. I had a lot of shakes. I never forgot what a great manager and person he was. I am proud of his successes and that I had the opportunity to know him.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
