Not sure what to say?

I'm sorry it's taken so long to comment on the passing of Dr. Kleinman. I took several of his philosophy and religion classes in the 1980s. He was by far my favorite teacher. And not only that, I felt a deep connection to him on a "spiritual" level. I live in Indiana now. But, over the years, I've thought about him often. And just recently I read his book "The Four Faces of the Universe". Dr. Kleinman...you are missed by so many!

Bob Kleinman at home 1978.

I took two philosophy classes from Dr Kleinman at PJC in the early 70's. I went on to earn a BS and MS. He was without a doubt one of the best professors I ever had. He challenged me and also acknowledged my hard work. I'm a better person for having been a student of his for that short period of time.

Donna and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. The wonderful memories over the years will bring you much comfort. Your friend, Shelby

sorry on the passing of your father, a past friend of yours phil and jeff. lived on stanley ave around the couner of your house on bayou blvd.

I was a student of Bob's in the late 70's, and like so many others my life was completely changed by his profound teachings and persona. He led so many to a world-view and path in life that was not only grounded in a wide and subtle intellectual poise, but also full of a happy upward movement towards a greater light and future. Quiet and kind-hearted, full of wisdom, Bob was a truly great man who will be greatly missed.

Dr. Kleinman changed the course of my life. From my first class with him at PJC I knew I would major in philosophy. I have thought of him often and feebly tried to imitate his spiritual being.

He was one of the most postive influences in my life and he did it with such friendliness and support. His love of life, his warm embrace and his compassion for those that surrounded him will continue to warm the hearts of those that new him. He leaves us with a path to happiness and understanding that we may never have found without his Guidance.

In the 1980's I took five philosophy courses with Bob while I was teaching at Pensacola Junior College. During every class meeting, I was always aware that I was in the presence of greatness and was honored to be there in the room listening and learning. I was also privileged to have dinner several times with him and Jan. I have tried for years now to try to find him somewhere online with no success. Jan, please accept my sympathy. I have missed your company since leaving Pensacola. ...
