My condolences to you, Carol and your family. We had many good times together. Bob was a dear man; a respected and leader in our community.

Uncle Bob was the best uncle one could imagine: kind, gentle, manly, loving, classy, intelligent, and patriarchal in a non-Alpha way. I admired his leadership skills as mayor, family values, and overall decency. To me, Uncle Bob embodied the virtues of a vanishing breed of American, what is now called The Greatest Generation, a man of grace, duty, maturity, and wisdom.

My granddaughter Sophie and I saw Uncle Bob and Aunt Carol last summer on a visit to Brecksville. It was so nice to connect with them once again. One of my favorite memories of Uncle Bob is him dancing with my daughter Anna when she was about seven years old, standing on his feet while he moved her around the dance floor. And how he and Aunt Carol loved to watch the butterflies from their condo porch in Brecksville. We will miss him very much!
