Believe me when I say that Professor Kues was the kindest, most thoughtful, and student-oriented professor I have had during my time at NKU. He was always there to encourage you after a failed exam, talk to you about career options, or even to vent about other professors or classes. He always made sure to connect with his students, find a way to explain the most difficult things in a way we could understand, and had the most kindest smile he paired well with his cup of coffee in the mornings. I am shocked and in utter awe that NKU and others have lost such an amazing, kind, genuine, down-to-earth person. My heart goes out to all of his family, friends, and students. Kues was so nice to him and showed him all the frogs and even gave him a...

Thank you for caring for your students and going the extra mile every single day. You were my first Biology professor, my first college professor; your class brought all of my college classmates together and now lifetime friends together. I thank you for encouraging us to go further with our dreams and making us remember to give ourselves time and grace when needed. I wish your family the time and grace they need to heal through this time. Condolences to each person through this. Professor,...
