Not sure what to say?

My thoughts and prayers are with the Lachenauer family over the loss of Mr. Bob Lachenauer. I was painting on the roof of my parents house back in 1979 when I got a phone call from Mr. Lachenauer saying I was hired to teach in the New Providence School District. He was always good to me which is something I will never forget. Thanks to him I am still teaching in a great district that Mr. Lachenauer was such a big part of.

Please accept my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Mr. Lachenauer hired me back in 1990 and I am so proud of the town of New Providence and his leadership. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be where I am today.

I ll always remember Looking out my bedroom window on snowy days to see if Mr. Lachenauer turned on his front porch light - that meant no school!

We are so saddened to hear of Bob's passing this morning. It brought to mind our long friendship and all the fond memories we have of many good times with Bob and Pat over the years.

And, add to that, the fact that our 4 children were blessed to go through the New Providence School System while Bob was the Superintendent. They all received an outstanding education and went on to fine universities, as did 96% of their classmates. A great tribute to Bob's leadership over 30 years....
