Not sure what to say?

Although I never met Mr. Laessig in person, I was certainly exposed to his influence by having known his late son Mark whose artistic talents were clear to anyone who knew him. I take some comfort in knowing that Robert, Isolda. and their son are now reunited.

Robert Laessig, was an inspiration to all of us artists who knew him. He was creative, ever excited about his newest work, and generous in sharing knowledge with other artists. I actually knew about him before I met him. We were friends with Sam Sonenfield, Sr. Trust officer at Union Commerce Bank, and a dedicated collector of art, especially Laessig's work. Sonenfield had reached the point in his collecting where he was attaching paintings to the ceiling!
Bob LOVED to talk!...

I was fortunate to have been able to visit Mr. Laessig's home studio in Richfield in the mid-1970's, at the time knowing his now late son, Mark, from school. It was certainly an artistic inspiration, as Mr. Laessig was deeply inspired by Nature so vividly reflected in many of his larger more intricate paintings.

My deepest condolences to Constance Laessig
also at this time.

Sincerely,

David Keller
