I worked with Bob @ Braniff. My condolences.

The following is a statement read today at my father's funeral. Thank you all for your support and kind words. I know he is in Heaven smiling down on us.

Good Morning! Thank you all for coming here today to say good-bye to my father, Bob Landon.

Over the last few weeks of his 2-year battle, I began to realize the worsening outlook for my Dad’s recovery. I thought about his life and accomplishments and said to myself, WOW, isn’t he a lucky man.

Paul and I were sorry to hear of the loss of your Father. This is a very hard time in your lives, but always remember he is in a much better place now that he is not in pain or suffering. He is only gone from your sight not from your loving memories of him. Please let us know if we can do anything to help.

Thank you to the many friends who sent flowers and celebrated my father's life today at his wake. I along with my three older brothers are truly touched by the gifts and kind words. A special thanks to the American Airlines maintenance teams who worked with my father over the years. AA has been very supportive during this troublesome time. I hope my Dad's long legacy in aviation will continue to inspire more at AA. My Dad always hoped for successful business with all of the airlines he worked...

I worked with Bob in DFW and he was an excellent supervisor to learn from and a pleasure to work with. Bob will be missed.
