Betty and Family,
Bob was a pioneer in the field of hearing loss and a leader for both professionals and students. I will always treasure his guidance and support. TVI student, 1981; Interpreter, '82-'86; Prep Program, '86-'96

I knew Bob and Robert. Bob was my God Father. I missed seeing you last year be-cause I want to talk about the past. Well you are gone now. Thank Robert for trying to help with a big problem I had.

Hello Betty and Family,

My thoughts go out to you -- He offered hope, guidance, and the start to a useful career to so many of us over the years.
TVI Student 1972 and Interpreter/Notetaker,
Susan (Morgan) Arneson, Titusville, Florida

Betty & Family,
Bob is a great and finest mentor & pioneer with deaf program. He's very good peer with me. I sorely missed him.

Eric TVI Student '81-'83

Betty & Family, I worked with Bob for many years in Vocational Rehabilitation. He was a dedicated leader. The deaf community has lost a true friend and one of it''s finest pioneers.

Vern Schultz

I remember Mr Lauritsen listening to opera, to the NY Metropolitan Opera. A lovely man and a beautiful family. My deep condolences to you all.

When I arrived in Minnesota decades ago, The most important advice I received was to listen and learn from Bob Lauritsen. Through the years he has been the advisor, the mentor, the teacher whom I have relied on for guidance and support. I will miss Bob' s friendship, knowledge and advocacy, as well as advice on my golf swing.

Bob was a leader and pioneer in the field. He was a leader and a instrumental in the establishment of ADARA. The history he wrote is depicted on the ADARA web site and we will be recognizing him in the next newsletter. We will all miss Bob very much.
Debra Guthmann, St. Paul, Minnesota, Auburn, California

I had the pleasure of meeting Bob twice, as a grad student, and as current Director of PEPNet-Midwest. He was a gentle, compassionate man who believed "deaf people can", and had great words of advice for up and coming professionals. You will be missed, thank you for everything.
