Our sincere sympathy goes out to Bob's family. He was one of a kind. His warmth, ready smile, and devilish sense of humor made him a lovable adversary at the bridge table. He was a wonderful example of how to deal positively with physical challenges. One of our favorite Bob memories is the time when, in mock anger over a bridge result, he removed his prosthesis and shook it at Jim in a gleefully threatening way! He and Ginger are sorely missed by our bridge gang.

Bob, I'll never forget all the bridge lessons you conducted for us; now we don't have anyone to answer our questions, bridge will never be quite the same without you. I think of you every day when I read the bridge column, and still have all the bridge columns you cut out--they go all over the world with me.
