Bob counseled me when I was a student at Columbia Business School. In addition to helping me navigate my early career, he showed me how to live a great and moral life. I still think of him and use some of his sayings to decide what the right thing to do is. His example matched his wise words. I still make an effort to get home from business trips early because of his advise to me that when in doubt I should choose the path that would lead to my head resting on the same bed as my wife as...

He was quite a guy for me.

He hired me to paint his fences as a kid and I think I probably caddied for him. He hired me to tend bar as a college student, when the only beer he'd serve was Schaefers.

When I was considering leaving my 12 yr career in advertising to go sail around the world w/ Fred Collins he & Dorothy counseled me, "When they pass the cherry pie, you gotta take a slice".
