Not sure what to say?

I was a little girl in the first grade when my sisters were in the 7th, 10th, and 11th grade. My first grade class was the last to attend Carver High that was from first grade to senior. I went to Dripping Springs Elementary School after that. When I was in the first grade I would go to The band class to wait for my sisters to go home. I remember the band hall and watched Mr. Lee in his natural element. Even at that age, I saw his leadership and felt the energy that he put out for his...

To Raquel, Robert "Man" & Lee Family

Please know that you are in my prayers. May God Bless You.

To impact the lives of so many in a positive way, speaks more than mere words can express about the life of this man. I am thankful for all the wonderful memories that came from knowing him and being a part of the wonderful Carver High school band. Canada 1967. Many lives were molded from that experience. I see from all the tributes that he affected the lives of many people in similar ways. How fine it is to have known Mr. Robert E. Lee. May these words from all the people that loved...

Mr. Robert E. Lee will always be remembered for his contribution to the life of students at G. W. Carver High School. May his survivors be consoled with the love of his former mentees.

Mr. Lee was a gifted musician and Band Director. He and I were not only co-workers but friends for more than 30 years. He truly demonstrated his love for his family, students, friends and co-workers daily. There was definitely a void at University High School when Mr. Lee retired.

I will never forget Mr. Lee's quick humor in telling me "Coach just keep moving toward the goal line and the Band will blow you on across". Job well done my friend. I'll see you in Heaven, directing the...

I will always remember Mr. Lee as a born leader and a man that has shaped the character of many people in the Central Texas area. As an African-American, he should be considered in history as a dynamic civic rights leader that gave many young people the desire and hope to go on in their life to be successful and productive members of society. Thanks, Mr Lee. May God Bless and Keep You!!!

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

To the Family of Mr. Robert Lee Jr.,

The pride of the East Waco community, of which I have been a resident for 44 years, was the G. W. Carver High School Marching Band. I have fond memories of watching the band practice. I saw so much energy and vitality. Those students gave their best because of the expectations from Mr. Lee. I remember the band going to Canada. The community, parents, PTA at the school, and churches rallied together, so that all band members could go. What a...

Mrs. Lee:
Mr. Lee will always be remembered has the band leader at Carver High School. But I also remember him coming over to will to help Mr. McClain with the band. I remember me and my cousins riding over to Carver to see the band practice after school. He will be missed. I have you in my prayers.
