LEPARD, Robert F. – Of Fenton, formerly of Grand Blanc age 91, died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Mission Point.



 



Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father Dan Westerman officiating.



Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.



 



Those desiring may make contributions to Holy Family Catholic Church or Mended Hearts, Inc.



 



Visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.



 



Mr. LePard will be at the church from 10:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of the Mass.



 



Robert was born in Goodrich, Michigan on July 17, 1926, the son of Sumner and ClaraMae LePard, and was a resident of Grand Blanc and the Flint area all of his life.



 



He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.



 



Mr. LePard was employed by General Motors Fisher Body Tank Plant in Grand Blanc for 35 years, retiring in 1988.



 



Surviving are wife, Ellen Dipzinski-LePard;



 



children, Christine McVannel of Grand Blanc,



Rita LePard and fiance’ Jack White of Chicago,



John and wife Brenda of Columbus, Ohio,



Anne and husband Bill Weatherford of Otter Lake;



 



11 grandchildren;



 



several great-grandchildren;



 



3 step-daughters, Donna and husband Tom Hardy,



Sandra and husband Tom Nowaczyk and Laura Diem, all of Fenton;



 



one brother, Joseph and wife Joan LePard of Grand Blanc;



sister, Judith LePard of Grand Blanc;



 



many nieces and nephews.



 



He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances, in 2001 and daughter, Teresa in 2014.

I believe that Robert is thrilled to be with our Lord and Savior, he earned the right.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing "after the fact", a I would have attended his service. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the LePard family.

Hello Joe, even though I think I only met your brother a couple of times on the golf course, he was a cheerful spirit, much like yourself. My sincerest sympathies on your loss.
