Robert Lewis

I met Pastor Bob when I was 9 and we were best friends from then until I moved away at the age of 21. I regret not keeping in touch after I left as he was one of the most wonderful persons I ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Always kind, always funny and always knew just the right thing to say to turn a mediocre day into a great one.

He was a wonderful human being and he will be missed greatly.

A flower child in the 70's, I met Preacher Bob while living for a short time in Ukiah, where he ministered to the young hippies and back-to-the-land-ers in his free time.

I lost track of Bob, when he moved from Ukiah, but when the internet came to be, I found him again. I just realized he'd moved on again by searching the web after calling him, his phone is disconnected.

Over the years we shared many meaningful and heartfelt talks. I could always turn to Bob for immense wisdom...

Who I am today has a lot to do with what I learned from Bob. He, and a unique crew of old timers, would come for coffee every day at my parents cheese shop in Turlock. For 5 years I got to enjoy his company and listen. I will remember him forever. Rest in Peace, Lopaka.
