Not sure what to say?

I was a late 70's student of Dr. Lieb at NU. He inspired me to understand the logic behind Transportation and Logistics. That led me to a satisfying career solving problems with logistics improvements. Thank you Dr. Lieb

Bob had a profound impact on my life. I attended Northeastern University full time starting in the fall of 1973 while working full time nights in the Transportation industry. I decided by chance to take a course in Transportation with Bob as I thought it might be good to learn more about the industry I was working in. He love for Transportation was contagious and I soon decided to major in "Logistics and Transportation" as it was called back then. I took numerous courses in the program,...

Bob was my teacher in the undergraduate supply chain program at Northeastern University. He was a complete visionary into how supply chains are critical for the success of any country or society, and inspired countless students to pursue their interests in supply chain management. Bob was an extremely skilled teacher, perfectly balancing his good natured humor with an expectation of discipline and dedication from his students. Class was always fun, engaging, and inspiring with Bob as a...

I recently found out that Bob had passed. I wanted to offer my deepest condolences to Kristen and others close to him. He was my cousin, but growing up with him he was more like a big brother. He was my mentor and icon. I loved, respected and admired him very much. He will forever be in my heart.

I knew Professional Lieb @ Northeastern where he served as the Transportation and Logistics department chair and professor. He introduced me to his professional passion and willingly shared his knowledge and experience. He was a mentor and opened the path for me to go onto gain a masters degree and start my career in logistics. He will be missed! Doug Hurley NU '91

Bob and I joined the NU CBA faculties back in the 70s; I left to do other things . . . returning to the faculty in 2005; and, Bob went out of his way to welcome back; I was so grateful; Bob was a great colleague and friend; Blessings, paul

We at via lago are so sorry to hear about Bob´s passing. He was a very good customer of ours and will miss him dearly

I met Bob the first week of my tenure as dean for the undergraduate business programs at the CBA at Northeastern University in September 1976. We traced our beginnings to Pittsburgh PA and became fast friends sharing lots of beers and lots of stories. The world is diminished by his passing.

Bob was a mentor to myself and many in the Transportation and Logistics Program. He especially had a passion for the Railroad Industry within which many of pursued successful careers, continuing to this day. After class "state of the industry" discussions with Bob across the street at the Cask will long be remembered. It´s seldom a day I did not or don´t use the knowledge imparted to me by Dr. Lieb.
