Not sure what to say?

I was sorry to learn of Robert Lief's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting him when we both worked at Sullivan Reporting Company. Bob was an excellent reporter, and he possessed a unique sense of humor. He was a gentleman at all times, a really great guy, and an easy person to like. My sincere condolences to Charlotte and the family on their loss.

I, too, have many fond and cherished memories of my Uncle Bob and the fun summers spent with my cousins, swimming in the pool, playing Marco Polo. I also recall being confused many times as to which one of the twins was actually my father and which was Uncle Bob. They would both look down at my little confused face with that mischievous twinkle in their eyes and grins on their faces knowing that I would get it eventually by instinct. I'm very sad that Uncle Bob is gone, but he will never...

My Uncle Bob’s fun, silly sense of humor was a big reason I so enjoyed the many childhood sleepovers with my cousins at their house. I will always remember Uncle Bob for making me laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with my Aunt Charlotte and my cousins. My uncle, my Godfather, you will be missed.

Charlotte and family -- am deeply sorry for your loss as well as mine. Bobby was a GREAT man and we will miss him deeply. If I may relate a VERY funny Notre Dame story about Bob. Don, Tom and eye were at a Notre Dame/Mississippi game umpteen years ago on a VERY rainy Saturday and Bob did not bring any rain gear, but used a plastic trash bag that he poked his head and arms through some holes. Bob said, "I can stay dry and collect everyone's garbage in one big swoop!" Was a quick and smart...

Our sympathy to the family and to MR.& MRs. Timothy Driscoll as this has been truly a Summer of loss and sad times. May all rest in peace.

I have so many fond memories of my Uncle Bob. His image is certainly a part of my childhood memories as I recall spending many warm summer evenings with his girls, my cousins, at the pool in his back yard. My favorite memory is when I was very small. I wrapped my arm around his leg to hug him, thinking he was my Dad and then realizing he was my Dad's twin. Uncle Bob will be missed.
