Rev. Robert D. Liguori, 85 of Osprey, Florida passed away on Tuesday January 6, 2015. He was born in Walton, New York, to the late Anthony and Donata Liguori. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Alfonso, Francesco and Pasquale, and a son, Michael. He resided in Sarasota for many years.
He leaves behind is wife of 63 years, Joan M. Schrang Liguori; his four sons, David, Jonathan, Christopher and Joel (Luann); his 3 grandchildren.
After graduating from Berkley Divinity School at Yale, he was ordained an Episcopalian priest in 1953 in Albany, New York. He served in many parishes in upstate New York and Sarasota, FL retiring in 1984.
A memorial service will be held on Friday January 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Toale Brothers Funeral Homes, Gulf Gate Chapel, 6903 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL
