Not sure what to say?

Deep condolences from family Wang to the Lipperts.
As a close friend of Tim (Bob's son) and graduate of St.Thomas, Henry was inspired, warmed and encouraged by the true humanity, kindness and love from the Lippert's - the family of great people and big hearts.

Mr. Lippert was a terrific dad and neighbor. I still remember all the times he took his own children and the neighborhood kids for ice cream or to a Twins game. Always unflappable and kind. He will be missed. The pictures and the celebration of his life at the funeral home was classy and well done yesterday - what a great bunch of people in that family!

I was one of Bob's colleagues in the English Department in the early years of my career at St. Thomas, and the legacy of Bob's commitment to social justice has grown steadily at St. Thomas in the years since Bob's retirement. He left a distinctive mark on the English department.

Mr. Lippert was one of the great men of the greatest generation. We shall not see the likes of him, or them, again. Bob and his lovely bride "Ann" were part of the neighorhood parents that helped raise a large number kids from the hood. Mr. and Mrs. Lippert knew that it "took a village" more than sixty years ago. My deepest condolences to the lovely Lippert family.

Dear Terri---I never knew your Dad but what a special man he must have been as a father as well as all the other titles he wore in his life time....You were so fortunate to have him with you for so many years but hurts just as much to lose him. Best to you and your family---Kerry McNellis Pederson

I am sorry to hear of Bobs passing and will keep your mom in my heart, I can't imagine loosing a partner after a life time of being together. Bob was a one of a kind man, sounds trite but they don't make em like that anymore. No matter how old we are, its hard to loose our parents. I am so glad he got to see Evie, and all the other grandchildren and great grandkids. Holding you all in my heart,
Terri McNeil

One of the great educators, activists, and humans. He inspired and enlightened many.
His daughter Theresa was an inspiration to me as early as age 10 at St. Mark's grade school.

Sending the entire Lippert family our love and condolences. You are an amazing family filled with love and compassion.
From the entire Janet Court Staff

He was my favorite teacher in my years at St.Thomas (the early 70s); I enjoyed listening to his take on how the world worked and how it should work. He made us all think about what we could do or say to make a difference. May he enjoy his time in the afterlife with all those he loved, and have many spirited conversations with his favorite authors -- assuming, of course, they're in the same place.
