I'm just finding out that your father died as I was researching something for a memoir I'm writing. I think he was Ed Litin's brother, correct? Ed and Lorraine lived two houses down from my family in Rochester, Minnesota in the late 40s to the early 50s. I've lived in Eugene since 1968 and I think made some contact with your dad once to try to find information on Nancie and Scott. We all went through the hell of the polio epidemic together in that neighborhood. I was only about six, but I'll...

Dear Allison and Melissa - We were so sorry to learn the sad news about you dad. Russ and I knew and admired Rita and Bob. They were indeed special people who gave lovingly to their daughters whom they adored, but also to their friends and our community. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Dear Melissa and Allyson... I first met your Dad when I moved to Eugene to practice in 1980. From the beginning, I recognized him to be both a fabulous physician and a wonderful human being. I can only imagine what a great Dad he was. Because of his life, the world is a better place.
Kindest regards,
John Haughom, MD.

Allyson and Melissa,
I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He was my Mom's urologist, and also my oldest daughters. He was so kind, and had a sense of humor. I remember the picture of his daughters he kept on his desk as I always admired it. When I was a young mother and taking my 3 yr. old daughter to him, he called me about something while I was cooking dinner. He asked what I was making, and when I said round steak (I think), he said mmmm, when are we eating. I was sure...

Dear Melissa and Allyson, I have so many memories of you and your Mom and Dad as well as Ann Louise. Your family was so beautiful and glamorous to watch. I lived down the street so I often saw you as young girls dressed to the nines. Your Mom was the epitome of class and your Dad was just plain lovely. He was one of the kindest men I knew. It showed even from afar. He was just plain sweet. He lived life the way we all should live, with a smile on our faces and a kind word or joke. He...

Dear Allyson and Melissa,
Though I haven't seen your mom or dad for several years my memories of them, Ann Louise and the two of you are of a very generous, smiling, kind and exceptionally good looking family. I'm truly sorry for your loss but am grateful that you were able to be at his side. Though my dad passed 2.5 years ago he still lives in me every day. I expect the same will be true of the both of you with your father and mother. I just spoke with Mom and asked her to keep her...
