Banks Funeral Home - Sylvester Obituary

Mr. Robert C. Littleton, 65, of Pelham died Saturday January 14, 2017 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday January 17, 2017 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Kimball Cemetery. The Rev. Doug Hall will officiate. Mr. Littleton was born on November 3, 1951 in Albany to the late Robert Lee and Lois Tomlinson Littleton. He had lived in Worth County most of his life having lived in Cordele, Camilla and Pelham. Mr. Littleton enjoyed singing, golfing, softball and loved his family dearly. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Georgia Bulldogs and his son's high school football games. Mr. Littleton was retired from Sunbelt Ford in Cordele. He was a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church and former member of Bridgeboro Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Souter Littleton of Pelham; children, Jeff Littleton (Kristi) of Bainbridge, Jan Heard (B.J.) of Leesburg, Jason Littleton of Albany; grandchildren, Anna Kate and Emily Littleton, Jarrett Kemp, Shelby Heard, Selah Heard, Jace Littleton and McKenzie Ray; sisters, Geneva Hay and Ruby Altizer (Jack) all of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Raymond Littleton (Betty) of Anderson City, Joe Ed Littleton (Judy) and Donnie Littleton (Erlene) all of Bridgeboro; brother-in-law, C. A. McGough of Bridgeboro. In addition to his parents Mr. Littleton was preceded in death by a brother, David Littleton and sisters, Grace McGough and Irma Rodenberger. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until service hour at Banks Funeral Home. For those desiring memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 507 W. I'm so sorry to hear about Robert... I just saw his obituary.. I sang with him 40 yrs ago..he will be missed.

We extend our condolences to Carolyn and the family. Robert was a special servant of the Lord and a wonderful family man. He had an amazing personality and sense of humor. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Be assured that a God has a new angel.

Carolyn and family, I was very sad when I saw your post on FB about Robert. I remember all the great times we had as we travelled and listened to the Crownsmen. Those were great times that will never be forgotten. May you and the family remember all the great memories and know that he will be in your heart forever.
