Not sure what to say?

Dearest Dad,
Today is your 70th birthday. I thought of nothing but you today. Your absence leaves a void too vast for words, and makes this day extra sad. I will always remember how we would get together and celebrate your birthday, and how you were a complete cake and icing fiend! I miss you horribly, and am having a difficult time figuring out how to live a life without you here with me. It still seems so unfair... I could ramble on and on and on ad infinitum. I love you with all my...

One reason my youth was not more misspent than it was I can attribute to being one of Bob Longnecker's friends at a decisive age. He and his equally interesting and very tolerant parents were simply an indelible influence. We were both Haverford High '52; both electronic gearheads, along with his good friend Earl Gillstrom and others somehow surviving antic stages of model railroads, motorcycles, sports cars, computers- and the military. Bob would go on to support himself and his accomplished...

To know Bob was to love and respect him. I spent many interesting hours with him at IBM. He always impressed me as one of the most intellegent folks I ever met there. We spent many happy hours recently online and I will miss him.
Good wishes from me to his family.
Sincerely,

Dear Choo Choo Bob,
We'll long remember your courtly manners and your delightful conversations. I'm sure you're already at home in Heaven.

We met you once, I believe, Bob. You were an interesting and funny fellow. Of course, we knew you indirectly through you beautiful first born daughter, Brenda. God guide and protect those of us who wait to meet you again in Heaven.

Bob, you are going to be sorely missed by many, many folks. You were an absolute marvelous indivdual. Your gifts to the model railroading world are too numerous to count. You helped me in more ways than I can count. I always enjoyed our telephone visits. God Blessed this world with you and now you are back with God.

Bob I enjoy all the times that we talk over the phone. You were a fun person being around with. I will truly miss you
