Robert F. Loughrey

Mr. Loughrey was one of the Best teachers at Holyoke High School. I learned so much in his English class. He was extremely smart, funny & enthusiastic with all of his students. He was a gem of a man, always going above & beyond for everyone. My condolences to the Loughrey family.

I had Mr. Loughrey for 11th grade English, Literature of the British Isles. I always appreciated the love he had for the great Irish writers. He was a kind and patient teacher.

At Shannon's wedding, we enjoyed each others company until the wee hours of the morning! Great company. He will be missed.

Mr. Loughrey was a great English teacher, we were prepared for the SATs because of him. Enjoyed keeping him updated on our education and family over the years, a kind and supportive man who will be missed

Bob and I shared a favorite Aunt Mary Walsh Burke. We were pallbearers at her funeral. My sympathies to the Loughrey Family. RIP

I had Mr. Loughrey for my English teacher, class of 76! Kind man and great teacher! I loved his English class and I'll always be thankful to have known him. HHS was great in those days because of teachers like him! Condolences to his family at this sad time.

Best English teacher I ever had (Class of 1970), then a delightful and welcoming colleague at HHS and always a wonderful man. So sorry for your loss.
