Robert R. Love

Mr. Love was my English teacher at South Junior High in Braintree. He inspired me to love to read and to become a teacher. He could fascinate the students by sharing his take on Edgar Allen Poe and his trips to Pamplona Spain and the running of the bulls. Spain is on my Bucket List and I will raise a glass to Mr. Love when I go.

Bob was my 1st quarterback in high school, and I remember how tough it was learning to catch that hard tight spiral with a lefty spin on it. He was also a talented kicker known for booming punts. From freshman year on, he read from the Catholic bible every other morning at homeroom. My sister Carol read from the King James version the other days.
