Not sure what to say?

A great instructor who left me with wonderful memories and a love for the French language. When you crossed over the threshold to enter his room, you felt like you were in France. He will never be forgotten.

Outstanding man. One of the very best language instructors I ever had. We were a tough bunch to teach at Weequahic HS. Thank you Dr. L !!!

I just read Philip Roth's wonderful tribute to your dad in the Sunday NY Times. I have fond memories of both your parents from growing up. I'm glad I had a chance to see him at my uncle Jesse's memorial service. Thinking of you.

Bob was a hero to the entire membership of the Newark Teachers Union and especially to the Posner/Spiegel family during the very difficult McCarthy years. His intelligence, integrity, and courage set a standard few others can hope to achieve. Thank God he lived long enough to enjoy the accolades due him.

Dr. Lowenstein was a legend at Weequahic High School. I attended between 1955 and 1958 and was not fortunate enough to have him as a teacher.

Although I never met him, he was a revered and respected part of my upbringing and education in Newark. I knew his son, "Jimmy" at Weequahic. My condolences.

My favorite Weequahic HS teacher. Harold L Saferstein, MD, Scottsdale, AZ

My favorite teacher at South Side High School.
