Not sure what to say?

Thankful for the coach's influence in my life. He and Coach Bright are so often called to my mind it is like both are present whenever I have tough choices to consider. Their thoughtfulness for players and students are such an enormous part of Poly's special and long legacy as a spirit of excellence. Enjoyed the razzing by players whenever Coach and I had sessions about improving (my) play..."The Lummy and Dummy" events. Thanks for getting us forever recognition playing for a high school...

I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Coach Lumsden. During my time at Poly he was definitely one of the main people who made sure we upheld the ideas and principles of the school. He was a great role model on how to conduct ourselves in the classroom and in life. The lessons taught live on inside of each of us.

John C. Berkley - Class of 1980

I was very sad to hear of the passing of Coach Lumsden. He made a great impact on me and on many other of his students and players. My days at Poly under his coaching were some of my most happy times and I can still remember the lessons I learned from him about fair play, character, hard work, and standing up for what you thinks is right. I hope his family and friends take comfort in knowing how many people he touched.

Condolences to family and friends, I remember with fondness the 'old' Poly and coach Lumsden.

BPI - 1963

It was good to see Mr. Lumsden at the 1957 reunion. He lived a good life and provided a fine role model for many.

Sincere condolences to family & dear friends. The Poly family has lost another mentor, teacher, and role model. Rest in Peace, Mr. Poly.
