LYONS, Robert P. III "Rob"- Of Somerville June 19, 2021. Loving Father of Robert P. Lyons IV. Beloved son of Robert P. Lyons Jr. and Valarie "Joanne" Lyons. Dear brother of Christine, Jill, Cathleen and Shaun Lyons. Uncle of Cameron, Hayden, Nicholas, Jackson, Preston, Taylor, Hailey and Chloe. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, Friday morning at 11:00am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Raphael Church, Medford at 12:00. Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours Thursday, 4:00 - 7:00. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery. Rob was a Roofer up until his illness, he was an avid sports fan, every Sunday it was the Patriots and the over, he loved keno and trips to Foxwoods with family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Robert's memory to the RyanHarringtonFoundation.org

I want to offer my fondly to the Lyons Family. It was very sad news to hear of Robs´ passing. We will all remember his humor and laughter he left us with! Especially ... his huge frame running down the steps of my house after dropping Nicole off .... I´m sure he´s belly laughing about that now as I write this!!! You will be fondly remembered!

To the Lyons family. My family and I want to express our condolences to all of you for your loss. I Grew up with Robert as a kid in the neighborhood. We went through grammar school together, we’re on the same little league baseball teams and even played street hockey in the neighborhood and even birthday parties. I had not seen Robert for a long time and lost touch into high school it is very difficult to take this in. I am very sorry for your loss.
