Looking through my notes today, I came across messages from Bob during June 2003. He located the long forgotten grave of my Civil War ancestor, so in a very real sense he re-lighted his memorial candle and restored him to living memory.
God rest the soul of Robert MacAvoy. He lived and died but he passed the torch of memory, heritage and history.

So sorry for the lose of "Uncle Bobby" even though I haven't seen him in many years, still always in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in paradise, until we all meet again, fly high with grandpa and the entire family...gone far to soon :(

Dear Diane & family,
Words cannot express how sorry I was to hear of Bob's passing. Bob was my older cousin who always had a kind word & smile each time we met. I know he's in heaven having a great reunion with everyone.
