Not sure what to say?

I met Coach MacDougall in the fall of 2005 as a recently discharged veteran pursuing a degree in Journalism. As Sports Editor of the Joliet Junior College newspaper I had the pleasure of covering his final season coaching and his retirement, my only year at JJC, prior to transferring to SIU. I really enjoyed our conversations about football. He always had time for questions and I always appreciated that. My deepest sympathies are sent to his family and friends.

Judy and family, My deepest condolences to you all. Bob was a great friend and I remember fondly our many dinners and phone conversations. He will be missed by me and many. I know that he has touched the hearts of many people. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family,

Saddened by the sudden demise of Mr. MacDougall. Such a welcoming and friendly neighbor, always had a smile and a wave for us. Will miss seeing him pottering about in the yard with his signature cigar. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time. We will miss him dearly.

Bob and I were coaches at College of DuPage for many years. He was an outstanding football coach, recruiter and organizer. I remember so many good times at games, gatherings and other events. He always had a quick smile, funny quip and an optimistic approach to everything. He was a good friend, mentor and colleague. I offer my condolences to Judy and the MacDougall family at this very sad time.

I played for Coach MacDougall in 1977/78 at the start of his legendary run as the Head Football Coach at the College of DuPage. I look back fondly on playing for Coach Mac. It was truly a great experience. He touched my life as well as many others in a very positive way. RIP Coach.

Bob MacDougall was my football coach at College of Dupage from 93' to 94'. He made an enormous impact on my life. I'll never forget those dog days of summer with Coach MacDougall :) He was one of a kind, and will certainly be missed. God Bless.

Forty seven years ago we young football players at Michigan Tech were lucky enough to have a great coach come into our lives. Years later we realized he was also a mentor who was always available to help and guide us through our life challenges. Coach Mac had a huge positive influence on many lives and today we remember him fondly and grieve with his family.

I´m so sorry for your loss..Coach MacDougall was the best football coach I ever had! I played offensive line for Coach at COD from 89-90. So he was also my postition coach. To this day I think about those days and it puts a smile on my face! Not only was he a great coach but he was a great person. He truly cared about every player on our team. To this day I use his "coach speak"to coach up my sons football team and really all the sports I coach. Thanks for the memories coach.....you will be...

So sorry too hear of Bob's passing. Great neighbor , coach, and Gentleman. Condolences to his family and friends.
