Not sure what to say?

Patty and I are so very sorry to learn of Bob´s passing. Joan and Bob were wonderful neighbors of ours at Palmaire in Pompano Beach. We always enjoyed their company and relished the good times we shared with them. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Paul Clancy

Oh Mr. Maher! I'm so sorry to your family on your passing. What an amazing and funny man! Being as shy as I was at GHS, I was called to the office one morning. I was very scared as I'd never been called to the office. Unbeknown to me, I had to read the morning announcements because President of student council was absent that morning. I was V.P. He could see how nervous I was. He told me to relax and talk into the microphone as if I was speaking to him. Got through it. Such a great...

Bob Maher was a great man. He was always family and faith first. I met Bob at Geneva High, where he was the assistant principal. He was patient, smart and fun. We talked many times about coaching, The Bills, people and especially students. He was a great mentor to me, as I learned many lifelong beliefs and behaviors from talking and watching Bob. He was a true leader that my wife and I held in high regard as a true friend. He will be greatly missed by many. God will bless him and his family.

RIP, Coach. You win be missed. Rest easy with Jesus. Teena Matello DeSales class of `63

What a heartfelt obituary on such a great man. Hard to read without tears. His memory will live on for so many of us who had the pleasure of seeing greatness in our formative years.. and Susan, how we think if you so often...the very best babysitter! And party hostess... remember? Dads with your mom now...he's where belongs. Love you all.

Mr. Maher was a great Varsity coach at DeSales. I had him as a teacher for Health. He was a lot of fun. I will always remember him. May he RIP. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Clara Spafford Croyle class of `68.

I will always remember Mr Maher. He was a great Varsity coach at DeSales. I also had him as a teacher for my Health class. He was a lot of fun in class. He was so well liked. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. May he RIP!

So sorry to read of the passing of Coach Maher, he was a great coach and friend. My brother Gene Guerrie played basketball For Geneva High School and always told my parents and me what a great athlete Gene is and he should be playing for DeSales but we all went to Geneva High. The memories will never forget GHS and DHS Rivalry in Basket being a Cheerleader all for years when GHS would to DHS after the game when we lost he would see me crying he always tap me on the shoulder and winked his eye...

I remember Mr. Maher from Geneva High and in recent years at daily Mass. He was also the one who did the 2nd decade of the Rosary before daily Mass. My condolences to the family.
