Not sure what to say?

Father Maloney was the epitomy of the life of Jesús Christ, here on earth. He administered the "Last Rights", to me twice. I loved him as a Father, as well as my shining example of "The Lord", here on earth. I will always love and respect him and keep my memories of our friendship close to my heart. I will always love my memories of him, as well as all the help he freely afforded me. Love forever, James J Perez..

Fr. Bob embodied our Lord Jesus Christ here on earth. He administered my Last Rights twice as I am a 44 year survivor of para-testicular metastatic cáncer. I firmly believe that I owe my life to him and my enduring belief of his work. He was more than a friend to me, he was an example of t'he teachings of Christ. I will always remember him for t'he example he showed me. I look forward to one day meeting him at the Gates of Heaven, and Will never fear any humán suffering. I love you, Fr....

I first met Fr. Maloney when I went to visit USF in the spring of 1994. He was the first priest I met on campus. He talked to me about SII and then gave me a personal tour of the campus. He was such a holy and special priest. You are missed Fr. Maloney.

Fr. Maloney, Director of SII, with former and future (1988)

As a student at USF when Fr. Maloney was made director of the St. Ignatius Institute, I had the good fortune both to work for him as my work-study supervisor and to depend upon him for academic counsel. What I remember most is a man who was absolutely dependable; he never missed an appointment or gave uncertain advice. Then, there was that ever-present smile that set everyone at ease in his presence. There was a casual elegance about Fr. Maloney that signaled the kingly aspect of the...

I first met Fr. Maloney when he was dean of the Arts and Sciences. I was unaware of his relationship to the SII. I remember him as very friendly and helpful in sorting out my scholastic predicaments and pointing me in the direction of good professors and fruitful classes. What struck me most about him was his memory! He could tell me who taught which class, for how many credits, with the course number, and which requirements it satisfied... without opening the class schedule.

Fr. Maloney was such a holy and joyful, gentle priest. He could handle even the most complicated and delicate situations gracefully and intelligently. His "contagious" serenity was that of one truly at peace with God.

Thank you Fr. Maloney for your service to all of the students at USF who you helped during your tenure there. Thank you for your kind patient efforts for the university community.

What a wonderful, gentle, holy man! I'll never forget how relieved and pleased I was to hear that Fr. Maloney was taking over as director of the St. Ignatius Institute. I knew it would be in good hands -- and it was!
