Robert John Mancinelli, “Bob”, 84, a long time resident of Lynn, died peacefully at home, on June 8 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born and raised in Lynn where he retired as a machinist from the General Electric Company. Prior to that, Bob worked for many years in one of Lynn’s last remaining shoe factories. In addition, Bob spent nearly half a century, working behind the bar at the Blue Note Lounge in Lynn.
Bob loved deep sea fishing and was a competitive candlepin bowler. In 1969, Bob rolled his way into the City League’s Hall of Fame with a record-breaking single string 194. In recent years, Bob could usually be found at the Green Tea Restaurants, where he enjoyed playing Keno and sipping a glass of Miller High Life.
He was the son of the late Amedeo and Louise (Galante) Mancinelli. He is survived by his two sons, Rick Mancinelli and his partner Denise Rouleau of Littleton and Joe Mancinelli and his wife Kate of North Reading. He was
also the beloved grandfather to his two cherished grandchildren, Allison and Matthew Mancinelli of North Reading.
He was the brother of Gloria Solomon and her husband Wallace, Carolyn Schnurbush and her husband Fred, and Delores Killeen, as well as the brother in law of Patricia Mancinelli all of Lynn.
He was predeceased by his brothers Amadeo Mancinelli and William Mancinelli as well as his sisters Mary Bartlett and her husband John and Norma Porter and her husband Albiny.
A private celebration of life for family and friends will be planned for a date in the near future. Memorial gifts in Bob’s memory may be made to Care Dimensions 75 Sylvan St. Suite B-102 Danvers, MA 01923. Arrangements under the direction of Goodrich Funeral Home of Lynn.
