Bob and I were classmates in school in Bend until he moved to Portland. I ended up in Portland myself and Bob and I had offices on the same floor of a building in downtown Portland for many years. During WW11 I was stationed in Manila for several months as skipper of a 63 ft crashboat. Bob and I got together somehow, he was stationed on an island in a lake just a few miles East of Manila, and we had a great afternoon reminiscing
