Beloved husband of Emma, left his family on June 25, 2011. Bob was born on November 8, 1916 in Minneapolis, MN to August and Karen Marcussen. He came to California with his parents as a teenager. He met and married Emma Denten of Cazadero and they shared 72-3/4 years together. While a young man, he held numerous jobs, milking cows, working sheep, working in a store, as a chauffeur, cutting wood and piling. He and his father had a contract to supply piling for the government during World War II. In later years he turned to sheep ranching, operating a ranch near Marshall and one near Bodega. In 1951 he bought his own sheep ranch on the Estero near Bodega. He served as president and was a long time member of the North Coast Woolgrowers Association. Bob was a good mechanic and welder and in 1961 he opened Bodega Welding & Repair in Bodega while also ranching. In 1980 he retired to his new residence in Santa Rosa. Bob was kind, a loving man who was willing to help his family and friends in any way he could. He never turned down anyone asking for his help. Bob enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, traveling and working in his shop, where he created many wonderful gifts for his family. He joined the Santa Rosa Boat and RV Club, making new friends and enjoying many outings with them. Bob leaves behind his wife Emma, his daughter Judy Pozzi of Santa Rosa, his son Robert (Patsy) of Santa Rosa, his son Jim (Jane) of Sebastopol and his son Ken (Vicky) of Bodega Bay; his grandchildren Rick (Robin) Pozzi, Kathy (Larry) Pozzi-McClure, Billy (Monica) Pozzi, Robert Marcussen, Sheryl (Larry) Moore, Sandra Marcussen, Stephen (Natalie) Marcussen, Amy Marcussen, Kenny (Kathy) Marcussen, Joelle (Huck) Bradley, Keith (Jennifer) Marcussen and Kevin (Candace) Marcussen; his great grandchildren Christina, Ricky, Billy (Lindsey), Leann and Kailee Pozzi, Jessica McClure, Brandan and Shayla Moore, Kendra and Marly Bradley, and Robby, Molly, Sam, Sean, Tyler and Emily Marcussen; his great, great grandchildren Emily, Violet, Morgan and Madison Pozzi, Karris Colter and Kane Gould; his sisters Mary Zimmerman and Peggy Tamba; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of friends. He was predeceased by his sister Martha Nobles. A memorial and celebration of his life will be held at his home, 432 Scenic Ave., Santa Rosa on July 23 at 2:00 p.m. The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice Care for their wonderful help and care.
