Not sure what to say?

Dear Eloise, I just got out Bob's books and keepsakes. I remember with some embarrassment how he laughed and teased me when I didn't figure out the one that twirls around on a string. He always made the auctions so much fun!
I hope you keep attending MBS whenever you can. You were always a vital part of our team. Not every wife or husband would put up with us. Love you, dear friend.

Dear Eloise, Sending my love, and all the wonderful memories of R E M. What a wonderful gentleman he was. Every conclave was so much better because the two of you were there. I have most of your books and keepsakes. I am selling some of my mimis, but never yours. I am going to Vancouver, and I'm sure they will supply a way to remember Robert fondly. Love, Margaret Class

dear Eloise and children,

my deepest sympathy with you on this sad occasion.
Robert/Bob was as I learned from many sources an incredibly inventive, warm and communicative icon in the miniature book world and the world of daily life.
the books he made and which I bought all show his sympathetic traits of character and of course his gift to be surrounded by similar people, family and friend-wise.
I'll cherish his memory.
the spring of warm remembering will eventually...

When Just getting started with the Miniature Book Society as a collector, Bob was patient and helpful with my limited knowledge and slim budget. He is a pillar in our MBS family and will be greatly missed. Sincerest sympathies to Eloise and their beloved family.

When new to MBS, many members were kind, helpful and knowledgeable but Bob was my guiding star. He taught me so much. Bob had an endearing sense of humor and a quick mind...he was one of a kind and I will miss him.

My sincere sympathies to Elosie and the family. Bob will be missed. MBS is not the same without him and his sense of humor plus his miniature books. His books were among my first acquisitions.

Bob's books were some of the first miniatures I purchased, and they are a very special part of my collection.
Such a kind, gracious man.

My sincere condolences to the Massman family. Robert was a wonderful person and shared his love and knowledge of miniature books with many people. He will be greatly missed.

My sincere condolences to Eloise and family. Bob will be greatly missed in the world of miniature books. He was an inspiration to so many members of the Miniature Book Society and beyond.
His great contribution to the MBS, and his wonderful books will ensure that his name lives on for many years to come.
