Robert Couth Mathis

The other day I was going to some of my Air Force memorabilia and came across my autographed picture of Gen Mathis who I had the distinct pleasure of working for when he was the Vice Chief of Staff cira 1980. So I googled him just now and discovered that this wonderful man had passed away. I was a message analyst and would spend many mornings in his office just talking about everyday life. Here I was a young Air Force Tech Sgt sitting and chatting with the second highest ranking Air Force...

General Mathis, thank you for your virtuous service to your family, to the Air Force family, and to the United States of America. May God continue to bless them all.
