Not sure what to say?

Sending sympathy and love to all the family. Love and miss you.

I´m so sorry to hear of Dr. May´s transition. I worked for him and Mrs. May briefly and I throughly enjoyed spending time with them. My prayers are with the entire family.

I am so sad to hear of Dr. May's passing. He delivered my son back in 1983. I know he will be missed.

Bob was a wonderful mentor to me and my colleagues who studied under him. He taught us much more than surgical technique. He was a true professional to his patients and all who worked with him. He will be greatly missed and we all are better off for knowing him.

Dr. May was my mother's Ob-Gyn and primary care doctor for many years. I am most thankful for the care he provided her. He was a fine man and great physician! I pray that God will provide his family comfort.

My father, Karl E. Hofammann, Jr. (whose own parents were Swiss immigrants), was also a gynecologist (as well as female urologist) in Birmingham. He admired Dr. May and always spoke warmly and highly of him. No doubt Dr. May was an exceedingly fine man and an immensely talented physician. Please accept my deep condolences for your loss.

I had the privilege of serving with Dr. May on the UAB Institutional Review Board. I so admired him both for his professional accomplishments and his high ethical standards.
