Not sure what to say?

Because of the years and miles between us I feel that I never got to know Bob as well as I would have liked to. As a boy I have fond memories of a vaction at Uncle Leo and Aunt Ruth's place on Cedar Lake. I didn't see him for years after that, but when I saw him at my father's funeral, I enjoyed the tales he told me of my dad's early years in Detroit. I, along with my family express our deepest sympathy on a loss for all of us.
Mark, Helen and Laura McCarthy

To McCarthy's near and far,
We've been blessed with Uncle Bob's wit and wisdom for many years. Although I did not get the opportunity to speak with Uncle Bob often, when I did he was quick with a joke, political analysis, and guidance - which could be either a kind word or a verbal smack upside the head! Either way, you knew that Uncle Bob cared for you.

Although we may weep, those who preceded Uncle Bob are joyous today - especially little Loretta. Father and daughter have...

Dear Family,

While it has been many many years since I last saw Uncle Bob, I will always have fond memories of him teaching me to catch a baseball and acting as my sponsor for my Confirmation. I remeber the house in Roseville, near the corn fields and the one time he took me hunting and I stepped on a pheasant and scared the heck out of myself.

I am sorry we lost touch over the years and I would have liked to have had a chance to visit. May God take Uncle Bob into his...

Uncle Bob (and Aunt Mary),

It has always been said that you never realize how much someone meant to you until you lose them...Well, I have always known how much Uncle Bob meant to me...What I didn't realize is the impact he had on my children!!! This week I have heard more "Uncle Bob" stories than I did when Judy and Sharon would sit around the kitchen table sharing stories. I have not only heard the funny stories, but "Bob's Words of Wisdom" (at least thats what the kids said he...

Bobby,
My prayers and love go with you for the rest of my life. I will truly miss having you to talk to when I needed a sense of true family. The world has lost one of its dreamers. I admired your ability, not unlike our dad's; to always have a "project" going on. The majority of people wait for the dreamers to bring us all forward for a better today. You will be truly missed, but never forgotten.
Your Loving Brother

Dear Mary,

I extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your husband. May the happy memories you enjoyed together help you during this period of mourning.

Bob,
We got to know you when you helped us out over the years at The Medicine Shoppe, and we quickly found out what a warm, friendly person you were. Always eager to help, always upbeat and never at a loss for an interesting story or a kind word. Farewell, friend.

Uncle Bob,
May the light of the angels guide you through the heavens
May the people you have touched on earth never forget the saterfices you have made to make their lives more safe and fullfilled.
From the streets of East Detroit, blood dreanched mountains of the Korea, the mountains and streams of Alaska you loved so much and all the young minds you molded and menitored in classrooms acrossed the great nation have always enbraced your larger the life bodiment of the american...
