I played golf with Bob dozens of times at Temple Hills, always seemingly when I showed up without a t-time at the same time he walked in with the same story, looking for a game. I am a history nut, so it was a chance to play 18 holes and get a history lesson, all at the same time....the best of both worlds for me. I told Bob once, please tell me to shut up when I have asked too many quesions. He was always polite and seemed happy to re-live the Mark Clark campaign in Italy, Korea, Vietnam...
