Robert “Redneck” McCune,50, of Perryton, Texas passed away on February 7, 2020 in Amarillo. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Perryton, Texas, Officiated by Rev. Joe Stepp. Family visitation will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2020 6:00-8:00p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Perryton, Texas. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.


Robert was born March 13, 1969 to Glenn McCune and Margaret McCune. He attended Jacksonville school. In August 2008 he married Kim Lawson in Las Vegas, Nevada. Robert worked for DCP Midstream as a Field Operator. Robert was a Desert Storm Veteran. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, an avid golfer, and he was active in Perryton’s Jaycees.


Robert is survived by his wife, Kim McCune, of Perryton, Texas; Daughters, Brandi McKenzie and husband Ty of Wichita, Kansas, Cyndi Hunter and fiance Tyson Painter of Perryton, Texas, Brittnay Reyes and boyfriend Ace Anaya of Perryton, Texas, Karissa Cornelious and husband Shawn of Perryton, Texas; Father, Glenn McCune of Jacksonville, Texas; Brothers, Scott McCune of Jacksonville, Texas, Richard McCune of Perryton, Texas, Mike McCune and wife Roxie of Perryton, Texas; Grandkids, Ty McKenzie, Alexis McKenzie, Keagan McKenzie, Ariel Hunter, Dawson Villines Eli Reyes, Aja Reyes, Gianna Reyes, Carter Cornelious, Caitlyn Painter, Preston Painter, Jessica Painter; Great-Grandson Matthew Painter.


Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret McCune.


The family request memorials be made to the Harrington Cancer Foundation, 500 S Taylor #1060, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
