Not sure what to say?

Dear McDonald Family,

Bob was a dear friend of mine. He and I met fresh out of college when we started working at ARCO. We stayed in touch and remained good friends through the years. Ours was the BEST kind of friendship -- we knew each others flaws, loved and respected each other in spite of them, and no passage of time made a difference in the comfort, understanding and humor we found in each other.

As do so, so many, I miss Bob...and of course, I am still...

Lucy and family, Carlisle and I found out today of Bob's passing through a mutual friend at HPUMC. Our hearts and deepfelt prayers are with you. Even though ten years have passed,we will always have wonderful memories of Bob in the Fellowship class. He was such a warm and genuine person. He will not be forgotten. Your sister and brother in Christ,

Lucy and family -

You are in our prayers. I remember the 'strange and suspicious man walking in the alley'. I was delighted to finally meet him - especially as a wonderful neighbor. We will all miss him. We miss our Villanova neighbors, too.

Lucy, You and your family remain in our thoughts and prayers. I think about you everyday and my heart aches for you. May God bless you, comfort and strengthen you. We love you.

I just learned of Bob's passing tonight at dinner. I would like to express my feelings for Bob and am sorry I was not informed in time to attend his memorial. Bob and Doug built our house and I feel so fortunate to have known him. Bob's kindness and genuine personality are something that I've very rarely come accross in my life. Our family will miss you Bob, and our condolences go out to your family.- Ben Grieve

Dear McDonald Family,
I learned of Bob's passing yesterday through another Park Cities builder. I had grown up with Bob in Richardson. We ran together and played football together for three years before he moved to the Park Cities. I continued to visit him when they had their house on Lovers Lane. I lost touch with Bob until I moved back to the Park Cities and started a family of my own. I would run into Bob occassionally and we would reminense about our times as early teenagers. It was...

Lucy, you and the family are still in our prayers. We are hoping that each day gets just a little bit easier but also know that only time will heal. We are here for you if you need anything. May God bless you and the kids. Sharon and David

Bruce and Kathy, I want to offer my deepest condolences on the loss of Bob. I'll pray for you and your families in your time of grief.
Bruce, I think back to SMU when we roomed at the Lambda Chi house and how special it was that you and your brother and sister were in school together and how close you were as a family. It made me appreciate my family more and my relationship with my sister that was there as well.
I always looked up to Bob. He was bright, energetic, funny and...
