Not sure what to say?

I worked with Bob for many years at GM. It was a real pleasure as he had a real knack for solving problems.

My sympathy to the family. My son Greg was in the same grade as Robert at St. Stephen's. We lost my husband earlier this year, so I share your grief. Betty Van Ochten

At St. Stephens Elementary, Junior High, and High School it was well known: Mary McDonnell had the nicest parents EVER. Mr and Mrs McDonnell were always welcoming, and whenever I stayed for dinner, Mr McDonnell was always so kind - asking about school and family. I thought he was very smart too, because he knew about every subject in school that we discussed! I didn't know back then what many of our Dads went thru during the War. Another Great man who will be missed.

Aunt Marge, Mary, Bobbie, Laurie, I am so very sorry for your loss. I pray that you receive peace and comfort in the days ahead, and blessings. Uncle Bob was such a very precious man. I remember him as a family man with a sharp mind and a whit that was uniquely his. His smile and manner of life will live in my heart forever.

Dear Marguerite,

Very sorry to hear of your husband passing. I wish you the very best. I was your student at St Stephens 3rd grade class in 1957-58. I remember you speaking french in class and your last name when I saw the notice I knew it must be you. You were one of my best teachers ever! I live in Charlotte, NC and am retired with two grandsons to hang out with. I hope you will find peace, the very best to you.

I will miss the gentle person I affectionately called "Sorley Boy" for the past fifty years. One could not have asked for a better friend and work associate.

Marge, Mary, Bobbie and Laurie,
My heart is so full with emotion as I learn this news. I am so grateful to have known this wonderful man growing up across the street from all of you. I cherish our talks as adults, especially the wonderful private WWII talk, complete with exhibits, he so generously shared with our family one Christmas several years ago. I feel so fortunate to have been able to call this benevolent wonderful man a friend and to know your family. Memories of times with all of...

Marguerite and family..So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. It seems we lose contact, over the years, with good friends! Bob and I were together with our sons and other Dads, in an Indian Guide tribe in the late 1960's...I always enjoyed that venture, and Bob in particular. They were good times, when our sons were youngsters. Please accept my condolences.
