McELYEA, Robert A. – Of Flint, age 66, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 1, 2018.
A gentle soul with a big heart, he cared for all cats, birds, squirrels and wild life that appeared at his door. An avid photographer in his youth. Rob photographed many Flint weddings and events. He now is at peace.
He is survived by his brother, Charles (Mary);
nephews, Charles (Chloe) and J.P.;
many cousins, including David (Laura) Michaud and Cherie (Milo) Walsh and Kathi (Peter) Dahlie.
Private service will be held.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County.

I knew Bob from Southwestern High School. I still have the photo he took of me at a basketball game. Whenever I look at that photo I wonder what happened to him. He was always so kind, a very special person. Deepest sympathy.

So sorry to hear the news. We became friends while I worked at Trevi's Restaurant and with his Fathers help, I got a job at AC. He did our wedding and 30th anniversary photos. He was a great friend and photographer. Will be sadly missed. Rocky and Ruth Lasley.

So sad to hear of Bob's passing. 2nd shift in the AC Model Shop, every Tuesday we went to "Arthur Treachers" for fish & chips. He loved to drive us in his blue 1976 cutlass. Last time I saw Bob, he still had it.

So sad to hear this news. Having grown up as neighbors with Robbie we saw him often from Trevi's Restaurant to every child in the neighborhood's wedding. Why he even was the photographer at our wedding and at our 25th wedding anniversary. Robbie was such a kind, gentle and loving person. We send our condolences, love and prayers to his family.
