Not sure what to say?

Dear McFadden family,

You referred in Bob's obituary to the fact that he was one of the first coaches in the Decatur Boys Baseball League. Having had the pleasure of being a player on his team, I came to know what an extraordinary man he was. He was exceptionally patient, fair-minded, and thoughtful, even with the less talented players, such as me.

I am so sorry. I met Mr. McFadden and his wife when they came to visit their son John and his family in Adams and though I didn't know him well I knew he was a wonderful man.

My deepest condolences to the members of the family! I only found out about this today, and am deeply saddened by this occurance. Please pass this message on to the entire family from the entire Tick Clan in Kansas City, and Milwaukee, WI. Thank you so much.

Please accept our symapthies on your loss.

What a nice man. What a beautiful neighbor. Thanks for the bench in Fairview Park.

Robert was a great man. I was a regular in his camera shop from 1970 to 1974. He was always kind and friendly. My condolences for his loved ones. Larry Livingston

Bob gave me my start in employment in 1961, at the Fairview Plaza Shop as a sales clerk, I also worked the South Shores Plaza Store for him.
Bob was the most thoughtful, kindest and caring fellow one could ever hope to meet. I am sad he has passed on and will always carry his memory with me. Jim Peek, MacArthur Class of 62

Bob was a great Person he will be sadly missed by all who got to know him

I was sorry to read about Robert John McFadden's passing in the Herald and Review newspapaer as Doris Paul died too. I enjoyed his camera shop in Fairveiw Plaza and always loved taking pictures of people, flowers, and anything in Fairview park too. He will be missed. May his heart remain in picture taking heaven.
