I was fortunate enough to have known Bob as a faculty colleague and friend during his time at UCSD. He was a superb clinician and wonderful role model for our medical students and residents. He was also a deeply caring and compassionate person. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten as his legacy will live on in the clinical practices of all the students, residents, and faculty colleagues who learned from his example.
