Not sure what to say?

I knew Bob over the email and calls since long, while working at Cadence with the same product, at different geo locations, he used to be one of our favorite PE. Why was he favorite? Any conversation with Bob was always with a calm sensation, no matter how worst be the technical concern, or a business concern - His peaceful talks would always used to bring in peace.. no comments on his technical ability - w/o any doubt he was a cool genius.. I met him once at San Jose, one of our usual...

Our dear sweet brother Bob. 2 months have passed, and I can hardly believe that you are no longer here with us. ALS took you away too soon. I have a beautiful picture of you and Mom as my desktop screen at work, where I am constantly reminded of your loving heart and soul. As tears run down my face, I see your smiling face, and I know that you are surrounded by the love you so deserve in Heaven. I strive to touch the heart of others as you did, and to cherish the rest of our brothers and...

I remember Bob from our days at Seton Hall Prep and meeting him down in Belmar on many occasions. Rest in Peace , Bob--- Edward Flynn SHP'73

I worked with Bob from 2014 to 2020. He was an extremely kind and genuine person. A great friend and a mentor to me. He loved his family so much - while I have never met Ann Marie and Kara, I have heard so much about them through the loving voice of Bob. He had great humor too. I will share this joke he once told -

"Sourav, I really haven't done well in life. I used to sit across Dennis Ritchie, now I sit and work with you."

He loved the Rangers, Spicy food and TPS...

May the Lord take his soul. I met him once and was amazed by his kind approach to people, for example me, who he had never met before. This is something to follow. My condolences to the family.

I am saddened by the news that Bob has passed away. He and I worked at Bell Labs, in Murray Hill, NJ starting in 1984 and then we transferred to Cadence Design Systems in New Providence, NJ in 1998. We were in New Providence till 2018, when the office shut down.

Bob was a simple and nice guy who always had a smile on his face just as in his photograph. I will miss that smiling face.

Patty and the entire McGowan Family ~
May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. My deepest condolences,
