Bob and I were great friends in high school. We once had visions of becoming CIA agents and even had an interview with the Chicago field office! We got into jogging during our Sophomore year and once ran to south campus and back on a warm summer night.

I remember Bob as being a strong yet sensitive heart, a friend you could count on no matter what. We lived only a few blocks apart and often explored the neighborhood woods along Salt Creek.

He truly was an inspirational man. I had the pleasure of knowing him for a number of years while I was in school with his youngest son. I think of him and his family often and the impact that he had on every one that had the pleasure of meeting him.
